"let it snow"......17 inches in 24 hours

Well, we survived the epic storm of December 2009!  According to the weathermen, 17 inches of heavy, wet snow fell in a 24 hour period.  Pretty much everything shut down: UW-Madison (first snow day in twenty years), MATC (no school for B!), the bus system, the malls......it was quite the scene.  We weren't plowed out of our parking lot until 5:30 in the afternoon, and then my husband and I spent forty-five minutes digging out our car so he could go to work this morning.  As I shoveled our walk, the tape measure read 15 inches in front of our apartment door - which is what you see in the picture above!

Our beloved "Gray Fox", before we dug her out of the foot of snow surrounding her on all sides.  It was quite the feat!

More cars snowed in in our parking lot.  We weren't plowed out until about 5:30.  Needless to say, with the buslines down and our parking lot looking like this, Brad got his very own snow day, both from work and school!
